Towns and Villages in Oromia Zone
The Oromia Zone (Oromo: Godina Oromiyaa; Amharic: ኦሮሚያ ዞን) is a zone in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia.
Oromia is called after the Oromo people, who settled on the outskirts of the Ethiopian Highlands that compose this Zone.
According to the 2007 Census conducted by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia (CSA), this Zone has a total population of 457,278, a -1.23% decrease from the 1994 census, with 227,328 men and 229,950 women; with an area of 3,470.04 square kilometers, Oromia has a population density of 131.78.
