Towns and Villages in Hari Rasu (Zone 5)
Hari Rasu, also known as Administrative Zone 5, is a zone of Ethiopia’s Afar Region.
This zone, which runs along the eastern base of the Ethiopian highlands, is bounded by Gabi Rasu to the south and east, the Amhara Region to the west, and Awsi Rasu to the north.
According to the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia’s 2007 Census, this Zone has a total population of 183,799, with 105,321 males and 78,478 women.
While 12,263 people, or 6.67%, live in cities, another 49,551, or 26.96%, are pastoralists.
