Towns and Villages in Gabi Rasu (Zone 3)
Gabi Rasu, also known as Administrative Zone 3, is a zone of Ethiopia’s Afar Region.
This zone is surrounded by the Oromia Region to the south, the Amhara Region to the southwest, Hari Rasu to the west, Awsi Rasu to the north, and the Somali Region to the east.
According to the 2007 Census conducted by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia (CSA), this zone has a total population of 198,751, with 108,995 males and 89,756 women.
While 54,328 people (27.33%) live in cities, another 24,075 (12.11%) are pastoralists. Gabi Rasu’s top seven ethnic groups were the Afar (64.78%), Amhara (12.01%), Argobba (10.72%), Wolayta (4.05%), Oromo (2.75%), Hadiya (1.25%), and Kambaata (1.19%).

Gabi Rasu consists eight woredas and one town administration, including:
- Gawane
- Amibara
- Galaqu
- Hawaash Fantiqale
- Hanruka
- Dullacha
- Argobba
- and Hawash Subah.
