Towns and Villages in Nuer Zone

Nuer Zone Amharic (ኑዌር ዞን) Thok Naath (Guäth Cieŋkä naath). The Zone was formed in Ethiopia’s Gambela Region.

According to the 2007 Census conducted by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia (CSA), this Zone has a total population of 112,606, with 60,543 males and 52,063 women. 12,266 people, or 10.89% of the total population, live in cities.

The three main ethnic groups in Nuer were the Nuer (95.56%), Anuak (2.06%), and Sidama (1.16%); all other ethnic groups accounted for 1.22% of the population.
