Geography
The Campaspe River bounds the county in the west and the Goulburn River in the east. A short section of the Murray River forms its northern edge. Puckapunyal lies close to its southern boundary, in the area once covered by the former Rodney electoral district. Rodney County borders Gunbower County to the north, Moira County to the east and south, Bendigo County to the south, and Dalhousie County to the south.
