Roxburgh
Roxburgh County was one of New South Wales’ original Nineteen Counties and is now one of the state’s 141 Cadastral divisions.
It encompasses the area to the north and east of Bathurst, from the Fish River to the Turon River junction. Sofala is included.
The Gudgegong River forms the northern boundary.
Roxburgh County was named after the same-named Scottish county. It was given its name in 1829.
