Rous

Rous County is one of New South Wales’ 141 Cadastral divisions.

It is situated on the state’s northernmost tip.

It is bounded on the north by the Queensland border and on the south by the Richmond River.

It includes the towns of Lismore, Byron Bay, and Murwillumbah.

Admiral Henry John Rous (1795-1877) was honoured with the name Rous County.
