Geography
Livingstone County’s western and northwestern boundary follows the Darling River near Menindee. It borders Tandora, Young and Werunda counties to the north, Woore and Windeyer to the east, and Perry and Manara to the south.
History
Livingstone was proclaimed under the standard colonial cadastral survey of New South Wales and named for David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer who mapped much of central and southern Africa in the mid-nineteenth century.
