Georgiana
Georgiana County was one of New South Wales’ original Nineteen Counties and is now one of the state’s 141 Cadastral divisions.
It is located roughly halfway between Bathurst and Goulburn.
The western boundary is the Lachlan River, and the southern boundary is the Crookwell River. Bigga and the area around the Abercrombie River are included.
From 1856 to 1859, it was part of the King and Georgiana Electoral District.
Georgiana County was named after the Duchess of Devonshire, Georgiana Cavendish (1757-1806).
