Caira
Caira County is one of New South Wales’ 141 Cadastral divisions.
It is home to the city of Balranald.
It encompasses much of the western Lowbidgee Floodplain, stretching from where the Murrumbidgee River joins the Murray River to where the Lachlan River joins the Murrumbidgee. The name “Caira” is thought to be derived from a local Aboriginal term.
